Every Spring for the last 5 years Eddie, Vivienne and I have organized the 'Spring Workshop'. The aim initially was to give local dancers the opportunity to learn from Internationally known Choreographers and Instructors. It has proven so successful that this past event was sold out by the November before.
The first Event featured Peter Metelnick and Alison Biggs; the next year 2008 we welcomed Kim Ray and Robert Lindsay;, in 2009 we had fun with Lizzie Clarke together with Andrew & Sheila. Then in, 2010, we had a terrific time with Dee Musk and Craig Bennett and in 2011 we were honoured to have Robbie McGowan Hickie and Kate Sala as our special guests. It has become a tradition for Vivienne and me to write a dance with our guests and we have been thrilled at the response to these dances. With Kim and Robert we wrote 'Our First Love' which topped the UK Linedancer video charts, then 'Do That Again?' with Andrew & Sheila, which was published in the UK Linedancer magazine, 'Up Country' (UK) and 'The Beat' (NZ). We wrote 'Latin Crazy' with Dee and Craig and the dance was in the Linedancer magazine top ten for many weeks going up to Number 5. It was published in the UK Linedancer magazine and The Beat, New Zealand. With Robbie & Kate we wrote 'Dr Flame' which was published in the French edition of Linedancer and spent many weeks in the UK Dance Charts.
